Formats and quality
The download choices shown by AnyDL depend on the media source. Different sources expose different resolutions, codecs, audio tracks, and containers.
Video quality

| Best Quality | Uses the highest suitable quality available from the source. |
| 2160p | Up to 4K UHD when the source provides it. |
| 1440p | Up to 1440p when available. |
| 1080p | Full HD when available. |
| 720p | HD quality when available. |
| 480p / 360p | Lower-resolution choices that can reduce file size and bandwidth use. |
| Audio Only | Processes the available audio without downloading a video stream. |
Why a quality option may be missing
AnyDL cannot create a higher-quality source than the media provides. If a video was uploaded at 720p, a genuine 1080p source is not available for AnyDL to select. The available choices therefore change from one piece of media to another.
Video and audio streams
Some services deliver high-quality video and audio as separate streams. In those cases, the processing system may need to combine the streams into the requested output before the file can be downloaded.
This can take longer than a simple single-stream download, particularly for long or high-resolution media.
File size and processing time
Higher resolutions and longer videos generally require more bandwidth, storage, and processing time. Choosing a lower quality can make the resulting file smaller and faster to process.
